The Diagnostic Tools help evaluate and analyze coupled and each model component.

The E3SM project develops and maintains a suite of diagnostics tools, including packages as follows

• E3SM Diagnostics Package (e3sm_diags)
• ChemDyg
• MPAS Analysis
• A-PRIME Diagnostics(now is folded into e3sm_diags and MPAS Analaysis)
• PACE

The science groups also leverage other packages to support additional component model evaluation and process-oriented diagnostics.
