Latest data accessible
E3SM Data Docs is a dedicated website documenting E3SM data. Here, you can find comprehensive directions for accessing data along with essential metadata. Previously, only version 2 (v2) data was documented here, but there are plans to back-fill information on version 1 (v1) data in the future. In the meantime, v1 data can be accessed on the E3SM website. Information on v3 simulation campaigns will be added early next year.
We’re also happy to announce we’ve now included several other data sets on the E3SM Data Docs website:
- E3SM v2.1 consisting of Low Resolution (LR) data:
- v2_1.LR.piControl
- v2_1.LR.1pctCO2
- v2_1.LR.abrupt-4xCO2
- v2_1.LR.amip
- v2_1.LR.historical
The simulations are documented in Smith et al. 2024 (GMD). The data are reformatted to follow CMIP protocol and submitted to CMIP6 archive through ESGF.
- SCREAM v0 DYAMOND2 (2021) simulation, data for January 2020 (DYAMOND2 Configuration):
- Main Simulation (40 days)
This simulation is described by Caldwell et al. 2021 (JAMES)
- SCREAM v1 Four-Seasons (2024) simulation, data for January 2020 (DYAMOND2 Configuration), April 2013, August 2016 (DYAMOND2 Configuration), and October 2013 for the following simulations:
- Main Simulation (40 days)
- Process Impact – Turbulent Mountain Stress (6 days)
- Process Impact – Improved Cloud Tuning (6 days)
- Process Impact – Improved SHOC Tuning (6 days)
More details on these simulations can be found in Donahue et al. 2024 (JAMES).
