DOE BER Funding Opportunities and Awards
The Biological and Environmental Research (BER) program within DOE’s Office of Science is seeking applications for a $12 million funding opportunity announcement (FOA) to support Earth and environmental systems science research in the Southeast United States. Please see the funding opportunity DE-FOA-0003420 for more details and requirements. In addition, DOE recently Announced $10 Million to Support Climate Resilience Centers Across America. Further, applications are now Being Accepted for Spring 2025 DOE Student Internship Programs.
Recent Office of Science FOA Awards include:
- Research on Earth System Model Development and Analysis: $8 Million for 13 projects with focus on E3SM, funded individually or jointly funded by the Earth System Model Development and Regional and Global model Analysis Program Areas.
- Atmospheric System Research (ASR): $15 Million awarded for 17 projects
- Research on Environmental System Science: $9 Million awarded for 12 project
- Data Reduction for Science: $5.5 million awarded for 14 projects
