E3SM AI in Action Award: Show How You Use AI to Work Smarter

Artificial Intelligence (AI) productivity tools are changing what is possible in a workday, but learning to use them can be a challenge. Because embracing new technologies is central to E3SM’s mission, its E3SM executive committee recently announced an AI in Action award. The first prize will be awarded June 1, with at least one more 3-month competition to follow. One to three prizes are expected to be awarded at a time, chosen by the executive committee and AI group lead. The competition is open to everyone funded by the E3SM project and the only limit on submissions is that they must be focused on helping you do your research rather than AI being the subject of the research itself. For example, using GitHub Copilot to issue a pull request is a good candidate but building a new AI downscaling tool is not.
