Online version of E3SM Tutorial
The E3SM Communication Team is happy to announce that all materials from the first in-person 2024 Tutorial-Workshop that took place in May at NERSC, are now available online.
The Tutorial covered the following topics:
- fundamental knowledge of earth system simulation, understanding the model components of E3SM, and what makes the model unique.
- hands-on experience running E3SM, modifying components, and analyzing data.
- best practices for utilizing the model and potentially contributing to its development.
- where to find resources.

The morning sessions covered lectures and the afternoons were spent on hands-on practicum, as shown in Figure 1.
The Agenda: The 2024 E3SM Tutorial Workshop provides a video link to each talk, together with the corresponding presentation or practicum resources (see Fig .2), detailing the sessions of the tutorial. New users wanting to follow the tutorial are advised to use this page as a jumping point to the video and the tutorial material.
