Groups also participated in breakout sessions, which were later reported on to other meeting attendees.

Reports on AI/ML in E3SM and the E3SMv3 coupled version were also given, as were recaps of the NERSC E3SM tutorial and the EAMxx tutorial held earlier in the week.

The meeting concluded with E3SM’s strategic plan and “speed dating” allowing different groups to learn about each others’s needs.

As traditional, Outstanding Achievement awards were given, and our very own band, the “Deep Dives,” performed their latest tunes. Additionally, Dave Bader presented “Founders Awards” to recognize people who he regarded as central to the success of the project.

Overall, the meeting participants were unanimously acknowledging that the meeting was a big success in connecting people and disperse groups, and stressing the need for more the in-person meetings.
