  • The report from the DOE ESMD-E3SM 2020 Principal Investigator Meeting has now been published

The report describes a meeting convened virtually October 26–29, 2020 to facilitate interactions between the Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) and its closely related projects, which are funded by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of Biological and Environmental Research (BER) Earth System Model Development (ESMD) program area. ESMD’s main objective is to develop E3SM to address the grand challenge of actionable predictions of the changing Earth system, focused on the most critical scientific questions facing the nation and DOE. The meeting provided an opportunity for participants to review progress, share knowledge and best practices, identify opportunities and challenges, continue discussions and foster collaborations to advance the development of E3SM.
