New DOE Awards and Funding Opportunities

During past few months, the Department of Energy’s Biological and Environmental Research program (BER) has announced a series of new awards relevant to E3SM science community.

In particular, the awards from the following two Funding Opportunity Announcements (FOAs) have major focus on the Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM):

• FOA for Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing (SciDAC):
  • Seven SciDAC-5 Awards were given.
• FOA for Earth System Model Development and Analysis
  • Ten Awards were issued.
