E3SM Publications: 30+ Papers Expected in Special AGU Collection

  • June 15, 2018
  • Brief
  • A special collection of Energy Exascale Earth System Model (E3SM) papers will be published in several American Geophysical Union (AGU) journals, including Journal of Advancing Modeling of Earth Systems, Journal of Geophysical Research – Atmospheres, Journal of Geophysical Research – Biogeosciences, Geophysical Research Letters, and Water Resources Research.

This collection, potentially more than 30 papers, includes a few published since 2015 on some E3SM model component features, as well as more recent manuscripts (through the end of 2018) that provide a description of model features, evaluation of model simulations using different configurations, and analysis of model sensitivity and uncertainties.

This collection of papers will provide a useful documentation of E3SMv1 and its atmosphere, ocean/ice, land, and river components, as well as simulation fidelity, and analysis and diagnostic tools.

Please contact E3SM Chief Scientist L. Ruby Leung (Ruby.Leung@pnnl.gov) if you are interested in contributing to this special collection. For those who have already signed up to contribute to the special collection, please update the status of your manuscripts on the E3SM internal website.
